Speaking at FFK09

Posted on Dec 18 2008

I'm very happy to announce that I will be speaking at FFK 2009 Conference that will be held in Cologne - Germany - the end of April.

It will be my first time here : FFK is said to be a very nice conference. Smaller than other "big" flash conferences, but also more casual and friendly. I'm really looking forward to it !

Most of the talks will be in german, but since I sadly don't speak any word of it, I'll run mine in english as usual (beware : french-accent included !).

Also, this time I'll not be talking (only) about Haxe. The title of my talk is What is SWF ? I'll try then to explain how SWF format is working, in particular the AS3 bytecode, and how things can be optimized, for instance by using Haxe. I'll also speak about my recent works on performance for Flash Player 10, such as the Alchemy Bytecode.

Check the FFK09 Website for more informations !

    Hi Nicolas,
I think this is a good thing to talk about SWF.
It will help people stop confusing between Flash, Flex, AS3, Haxe, media assets, bytecode... that finally produce a SWF file readable by the Flash Player, and it's IMHO all we should focus on !
I'm excited to see how your talk will look like and the people reactions.

    Hello Nicolas,

Will you try to release it as a video on the web like you did with that other conference? I am very interested to hear the speech but unfortunately can't attend.
